Flip Out at the Annual Harvest Pancake Fundraiser with the Serendipity Spa of Linden

As the sun sets on summer in Michigan, it also brings about the end of the season for the Beer Garden at the Waiting Room of the Serendipity Spa of Linden. This green space, with views of the Linden Mill and Shiawassee River, hosts outdoor seating for the Waiting Room, a cocktail lounge with plentiful local retail options for Michigan wine, beer, and spirits. According to business owner Keri Burns, fan favorites at the Waiting Room include local wines from French Valley Vineyards, Ciccone Vineyard, and Rose Valley Wines. “One of our top picks for cocktails is our very own bottle-aged Old Fashioned, carefully crafted in-house with a recipe inspired by our favorite restaurant in London, UK,” she adds.

The season’s end brings about a time for celebration and community at the Beer Garden – and the Annual Harvest Pancake Fundraiser! On October 15th, join your neighbors for brunch with Chris Cakes of Michigan, a specialty pancake caterer featured on Food Network (and the Guinness Book of World Records for Most Pancakes Made in an Hour!) Eat your fill with all-you-can-catch pancakes flipped right onto your plate, as well as a mimosa or non-alcoholic beverage. Presale tickets at $12 will be available on the Serendipity Spa of Linden’s website on September 25th.

The only thing better than eating plenty of pancakes? Knowing that the feast supports a worthy local organization! This year, the Harvest Pancake Fundraiser will support the efforts of LAFF Pathways, connecting Linden, Argentine, Fenton, and Fenton townships with a non-motorized trail system. These pathways not only offer recreational opportunities and allow for alternative transportation but also increase public safety and economic opportunities for local residents.

“We believe philanthropy is the cornerstone of a stable society. The best way to contribute to a long-lasting, thriving community is to support a cause that is bigger than we are,” says Burns “Through building community partnerships, opportunities are created, relationships are strengthened, progress is accelerated and communities grow stronger. From community members to businesses, everyone benefits.”

Local businesses still have the opportunity to sponsor this worthy event, with benefits such as complimentary tickets, social media recognition, logos on signage, and even options to add to gift boxes. Those interested in taking part can email Burns to get started.

Make your next pancake a community-forward one at the Waiting Room at the Serendipity Spa of Linden! Find presale tickets after September 25th on the Waiting Room’s website.
