Spiced Apple Mule

This recipe is originally from the ‘2020 Local Food Guide for Michigan’

Spiced apple mule with a half moon orange.


  • 4 ½ (3 full shots) oz sparkling water
  • 1 oz spiced apple shrub, from Civil Ferments (or similar)
  • 1 oz orange juice
  • 1 oz ginger beer
  • Splash of Angostura Aromatic Bitters


Mix all ingredients and serve over ice. Garnish with an orange slice.
