Our Mission at Mike Pirrone Produce is to lead the Midwest in the growing and distribution of the highest quality products while maintaining ethical business boundaries and optimizing grower and customer satisfaction. Utilizing technology and teamwork, we will work towards our mission by providing open communication with our growers, employees, and customers.
Mike Pirrone Produce started in 1951 as a mushroom farm to support local stores and customers. As our company expanded its services and product line, Mike Pirrone Produce moved to its current location in Capac, Michigan. Since then we have expanded our farming acreage to more than 3,000 acres today. In addition, we specialize in hothouse rhubarb and are a major packaging and distribution center for the Midwest. Ownership of Mike Pirrone Produce shifted to the DeBlouw family in 2012. We have taken great pride in providing for the needs of our customers while remaining true to the foundation and values our company was built on. Together with Berville Farms LLC and Pirrone Family Farms, Mike Pirrone Produce will continue to adapt and evolve its services while placing an emphasis on innovation in our food safety, production, packing, and shipping.
