Headquartered in Grant, Michigan, Legacy Livestock is a family owned farm, raising Black Hereford beef. The USDA has rated Legacy's beef as a high quality meat falling between Choice and Select, and our customers share raving reviews with us about the incredible taste and quality.
Although Legacy Livestock became an official LLC in 2018, the true beginnings of the family's love for cattle started almost 40 years prior, when Dan Tellkamp started his first job on the neighbor's dairy when he was 10 years old. Since then Dan, along with his wife of over 30 years, Jackie, began their own herd of beef cattle. Their 5 children grew up raising cattle and learning the responsibilities of caring for animals. Legacy Livestock is one of the first Registered Black Hereford farms in the state of Michigan.
Legacy Livestock exists to provide strong genetic breeding stock and exceptional beef.
