The 800-acre farm near Elk Rapids grows cherries, peaches and apples seasonally. Interwater Farms is one of only a few SweeTango apple producers in the area. Following upon the Honey Crisp craze, Sweet Tangos rival that variety in popularity for sweetness and crispness. The farm also produces the Honey Crisp along with Macintosh, Brookfield, Gala and Red Cortlands.

Jo Ann Brown represents the third generation of farmers at Interwater Farms. She and her four brothers are all part of the Interwater Farms family which began with her grandfather Vernon White, and continued with her father, Jack White.
