BOS Wine Garden

DIG INTO health, quality & vitality through products we are passionate about by bringing farming & friends together to experience dynamic GOODNESS.

We are Dave & Jackie Bos, a California girl and Michigan boy bringing our Napa Valley wines to the Northern Michigan wine industry where Dave got his start. Here, we will share wines that we are intimately involved with from both CA and MI at the BOS Wine Garden in downtown Elk Rapids.

We met in Napa, California while Dave worked at Grgich Hills as their biodynamic vineyard manager and Jackie worked as senior project manager at a landscape architecture firm. In 2008 we got married and knew from the beginning that we wanted to go into business together. With Dave’s rich experience at Grgich and passion for biodynamic farming, coupled with Jackie’s project management and design skills we started a vineyard consulting business. Through this consulting business we realized our access to some of the highest quality fruit in California and started BOS Wine in 2010 with 48 cases of BOS Phoenix Ranch Syrah.

All along Dave stayed connected to the Northern Michigan Wine industry through industry friends who loved to collaborate with him in Napa and vice versa. As a couple, we also had a love for the area that guaranteed a yearly visit and allowed us to watch this region start to blossom. We had witnessed this type of growth in areas surrounding Napa and knew there was great potential for growth in wine regions outside of California.

So, when we began to contemplate where we wanted to raise our family and grow our business it became simple...

”Why not Traverse City?”
