Storage
Rutabagas and turnips should be stored in the refrigerator, preferably in a sealable bag. They can last for several weeks to months.
Prep Tip
Rutabaga is sometimes sold with a wax coating. Be sure to peel the skin when working with a waxed veggie!
Seasonality
Rutabagas and turnips are often available through the fall and winter months. Salad turnips, such as the hakurei variety, are available as early as the Spring.
