In its 120 years of operation, The Riv has a longstanding history as a neighborhood hub in the picturesque village of Leland, Mich. In its 120 years of operations The Riv has seen many changes - multiple fires, several renovations, changes in ownership - yet it’s maintained its presence as a steadfast staple for casual fine dining and lodging in the community throughout.
Our restaurant, situated on the main floor, offers a casual atmosphere to enjoy our locally sourced seasonal menu and offering of world-class sustainably-produced wines. Every seat in the house offers a wonderful view - either of the Leland River or our gardens.
Our menu is ingredient-driven and aligned with the hyper-seasonality of Northern Michigan. Our cooking is an honest approach to American cuisine that breathes life into the classics, yet maintains the integrity and familiarity our community has grown to love here at The Riverside Inn.
Our wine program is focused on thoughtful winemakers from traditional regions, with an underlying coastal influence. It is a reflection of the rest of the restaurant. You’ll see high-quality Americana and French classics. All will carry an emphasis on doing things the right way - responsible farming is as important to the wines we pour as it is in the foods we cook.
