Shady Grove Farm is a small permaculture operation utilizing beyond organic practices. We do our best to incorporate regenerative practices to help maintain healthy ecosystems. Our focus is not how fast or how big we can grow something, it's how well we can produce it. If that takes longer, that's what we do. We don't believe in the words "good" and "enough" being used together. We grow slow food in order to produce the highest quality food we can, for our family and our community. We are always learning and improving our system. Growing quality, clean and healthy food requires healthy land and soil that is living. We compost all of our animal manure/bedding/animal harvest waste and produce premium soil inputs. Our food is only as nutrient dense as our soil and animal feed. Here, we strive for perfection and settle for our best, knowing that it's always better than "good enough"!
