Where to Find
We are a small family-owned business that began in 2016 with the formation of Motor City Sea Farm LLC. We bought a vacant shell of a building on West Chicago in Detroit in November 2017 and spent the next 2 years cleaning and renovating it. We started growing shrimp indoors In November 2019. The pandemic hit us hard and with restaurants closing, people not dining out and some issues with our growing process, we began to look for other avenues or revenue. We decided to start growing microgreens and Motor City Micro Farm was born in 2021! Business has been great and we now grow over 32 different varieties of microgreens. You can find our microgreens at Plum Markets, Westborn Markets, Zerbos, Papa Joes. We also service restaurants, private caterers and whole produce distributors.
