Lake Effect Farm was born out of the need to bring sustainable farming and food sources to the Upper Peninsula. Our namesake, the Lake Effect, a thermodynamic heat bubble caused by Lake Superior, makes it possible for us to be here, farming the North Coast in a zone 5b.
