Earthworks Urban Farm works to build a movement for a just, beautiful food system for all. We grow safe, healthy food on 2.5 acres of certified organic gardens on Detroit's east side. Primarily, these fruits and vegetables are served in some of the nearly 800 meals served daily at the Capuchin's Meldrum Soup Kitchen. We educate neighborhood youth about gardening and healthy cooking at the James and Grace Lee Boggs School. We provide resources for local gardeners, including the guests of the soup kitchen, and host a 9 month agriculture training program for adults to increase local leadership and ownership of the food system. Join us to create a world where everyone has a place at the table!
