Pleasant Hill Farm

Fennville
  • U-Pick
  • On farm sales by appointment for frozen organic blueberries and maple syrup

In 1937, John's grandfather bought the farm and with his sons planted many of the blueberry bushes that still yield fruit. Starting in 1976, John converted the forty acres to organic practices, and raises three varieties, Jerseys, Rubels, and Blue Crop. In 1989, John represented the state of Michigan at the first nationwide meeting to discuss the national organic standards. Currently, Pleasant Hill Farm is certified organic by OTCO.

For over forty years, our blueberries have been certified organic. We offer u-pick during the last weeks of July and in early August. Throughout the year, our frozen blueberries are available by on farm sales, or people can order them online and we will ship them to you. We also sell large quantities to wholesale accounts. Also, each year we tap our maple trees and boil the sap over a wood fire, creating maple syrup the old fashion way. We believe the slow process creates better flavor.
