Kutchey Family Farm started in the early 1900's in Warren Michigan, selling mostly potatoes, eggs, and milk from their farmhouse. Joe Kutchey Sr. took over the family farm from his father and in 1956 started raising fruits and vegetables, thus creating the farm market . In 1957, he married Carolyn and started their family. As their family grew the family needed to expand the farm operation to provide quality produce to the growing community. In 1965, Joe and Carol purchased 50 acres in Northern Macomb County where they moved the farming operation. They worked the farm operation on 26 Mile Road in Macomb Township, while bringing a load of in season produce back to the farm market in Warren.

When Joe and Carolyn's oldest son, Joe, graduated from Michigan State University in 1979 he joined the farm operation and helped expand both the farming end of the business and, with his wife Susan, created a new market on the farm in Macomb Township. In 1989, the farm market on 26 Mile Road was opened. Our goal: To bring our fresh locally grown produce to the growing community of Macomb Township. Picked fresh daily…rain or shine. We started that way back in 1957 and continue to provide fresh picked sweet corn, tomatoes, peppers and a wide variety of seasonal plants, fruits and vegetables from May through October.

The farm, from its quaint beginnings, now covers over 200 acres of land and produces a wide variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, along with some row crops like soybeans and field corn. In addition to the homegrown produce, our market offers local honey, fresh fruit from the orchards of Romeo, homemade jams, jellies, salsas and much more.

Take a drive out to Macomb, MI (1/4 mile east of Romeo Plank, on 26 Mile Road) and get a taste of our locally grown produce, fresh jams and salsa's and enjoy the friendly down-home atmosphere of our farm market.
