Tantre Farm started its very first crops in Chelsea, Michigan in 1993 on a 40-acre parcel. The owners of Tantre Farm are Richard Andres and Deb Lentz. We have now grown to about 115 acres of wetlands, woods, and sandy-loam fields, which produce about 30 to 40 acres of vegetables, fruits, mushrooms, herbs, and cut flowers. We also have several egg-laying ducks and chickens, a few Berkshire/Mulefoot and Tamworth pigs, a few cats, a couple of herding dogs, and a small herd of cattle. We sell our produce through CSA shares, at various local stores, restaurants, and also at the Ann Arbor and Chelsea Farmers Markets. Richard and Deb, along with their daughter, Ariana, live on-site year round. Seasonal workers or interns join them for various parts of the year, living and working together.
