Leeseberg Farms

When Gary and Cindy Leeseberg bought a 40-acre farm in 1980, they envisioned raising a few head of cattle and doing some gardening to provide for themselves and their family. By 2011, Leeseberg Farms had expanded their herd to 150 Angus cross cattle and enhanced their vegetable garden to include fruit trees, strawberries, and raspberries. In the past several years they have included honeybees, which Gary enjoys raising. Their dream blossomed into something greater than they had ever imagined.

Friends and family who enjoyed the Leesebergs' beef encouraged Gary and Cindy to begin offering retail cuts of their grain and grass-fed beef to health conscious consumers. Hormone and antibiotic-free, the cattle are finished on a mix that Gary developed using locally-grown feeds to ensure quality. The grass-fed cattle are pastured during the green times of the year and fed grass hay produced on Leeseberg Farms composted fields during the winter months. The Leesebergs take great pride in the product they offer their customers. Gary and Cindy create wonderful jams using the strawberries and raspberries they have grown. The bees enjoy using the nectar from the blossoms on the farm and produce raw honey along with beautiful honeycomb.

You can find all of these farm-raised products at the local farm markets in Lincoln, Tawas, Oscoda and Alpena. You can always stop in at the farm to get a great steak for dinner. You can also check us out on Facebook or email us at [email protected].
