Growing Hope is dedicated to helping people improve their lives and communities through gardening and increasing access to healthy food. We manage two markets and a mobile farm stand in Ypsilanti: The Ypsilanti Farmers Market – Downtown, Tuesdays from 3 - 7 p.m. May-Dec and once a month on the second Tuesday Jan-April at the Ypsilanti Farmers MarketPlace- 16 S. Washington. The Ypsilanti Farmers Market- Depot Town, Saturdays from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. May-Oct at 100 Rice St. near the Historic Freighthouse The Ypsilanti Mobile Farm Stand- Various Locations- July-Oct For twelve years now, farmers markets have been an integral part of that mission! Over the last decade, our farmers markets have developed from one outdoor farmers market into multiple locations and days. When the Ypsilanti Farmers MarketPlace is fully complete the downtown market will run year-round, and be complete with a commercial rentable kitchen, aggregation/distribution space, and much more. Our farmers markets are focused on increasing access to healthy food, supporting local entrepreneurs, and bringing positive activity to areas to spur further community and economic development. Veggucation stations at our markets provide sampling and nutrition education, and the many food assistance programs we are proud to support. Our vendors sell only Michigan products, and come from as close as a block away to 1.5 hours from Ypsilanti. We support these small businesses and make room for new and budding entrepreneurs, also offering free workshops and food business navigation services to help their success.
