Ypsilanti Farmers Markets

Ypsilanti

Growing Hope's mission is to foster an equitable and sustainable local food system that empowers all people to grow, buy, sell, prepare, and eat nourishing food. Our organization values programs that are transformative, educational, inclusive and are created and delivered through a racial equity lens. We manage the Ypsi Area Online Market and a seasonal open-air market.

- The Ypsilanti Farmers Market- Depot Town, Saturdays from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. May-Oct at 100 Rice St. near the Historic Freighthouse
- Ypsi Area Online Market- Order online year-round Thurs - Sun for pickup during the Downtown market on Tuesday.

Our farmers markets are focused on increasing access to healthy food, supporting local entrepreneurs, and bringing positive activity to areas to spur further community and economic development. Veggucation stations at our markets provide sampling and nutrition education, and the many food assistance programs we are proud to support. Our vendors sell only Michigan products, and come from as close as a block away to 1.5 hours from Ypsilanti. We support these small businesses and make room for new and budding entrepreneurs, also offering free workshops and classes to help their success. The Ypsilanti Farmers MarketPlace is also home to the Growing Hope Incubator Kitchen- a licensed kitchen available for rent to small food businesses and community groups.
