Taste the Local Difference is constantly pushing the edges of what we know about marketing local food. We support both internal and external research projects leading to a better understanding of how to promote local food and support the entire food system.

Local Food Sourcing Survey (CLOSED AUGUST 8, 2017)

This survey is providing data to help TLD expand our existing Certified Local Food Event program. We are asking consumers and food system personnel what the best approach might be to create an effective local food verification or certification for events, farms, restaurants, hotels, event venues, etc.

It follows on the heels of three regional focus groups conducted on the subject in Michigan during the early summer of 2017 with our partner, Evan Smith, of Alden Services LLC.

Thanks for helping to spread the word. We received over 300 responses to this survey. It was closed to the public on Aug 8, 2017.
