Statewide & Regional Partners

The Michigan Farmers Market Association (MIFMA) and Taste the Local Difference (TLD) have a long history of supporting the local food community in Michigan. Since 2017, we have worked together to provide complementary support to the state’s local farms and farmers markets.

Please contact [email protected] or [email protected] for more information on how we work together.

We are proud to partner with the Michigan Department of Health & Human Services to support CSA farmers in Detroit and Ypsilanti with  accepting SNAP/EBT payments and adding e-commerce platforms.

Michigan Food and Farming Systems (MIFFS) and Taste the Local Difference (TLD) are long-time collaborators on projects ranging from the Michigan Statewide CSA Network, certifying the Michigan Family Farms Conference as a Local Food Event, to co-hosting workshops, and more! We are always finding innovative ways to join forces to better support farmers, especially beginning and BIPOC producers, by connecting them to critical resources.

Fair Food Network operates the Double Up Food Bucks (DUFB) Program.Taste the Local Difference (TLD) partners with Fair Food Network to provide outreach about Double Up Food Bucks and to identify the barriers and opportunities of local sourcing for the state's independent retail grocers.

For more information on any of these partnership, please contact Kelly Wilson, Director of Community Partners at [email protected] .
