Peaks of orange, red, and yellow are making their debut here in Northern Michigan, and in Cadillac, expectations are high for another incredible color tour season. There are plenty of ways to fuel up for fall-time drives in this picturesque area. Here are some of our favorite stops for eaters on the Fall Color Loop for the Cadillac area:
There’s a lot of fun for the family at this pastoral McBain stop, with u-pick pumpkins, farm animals to feed, a corn maze, and more. The donuts and cider are a treat for all ages, or amp up the fun with a cider float or donut sundae!
A family name in the area since the 20s, Ebels’ houses plenty of family-owned businesses in their large general store in Falmouth. You can pick up a Carhartt jacket if you’re chilly, but don’t leave without some famous Little Town jerky for the perfect protein boost on color tour road trips!

Bring the kids to Brinks Family Creamery for great dairy treats, from ice cream to cheese! This McBain farm offers a playground to run off the sugar high from their delicious bakery case. If you’re in downtown Cadillac, you can still enjoy these local dairy treats from their sister company, Benny’s FroYo & Mo!
Is there anything more adorable than a goat? Come visit this goat-focused Falmouth creamery for incredible cheese, but stay for the huge array of other garden-grown items from the onsite kitchen.
Located in a historic building in nearby Lake City, this bakery not only has incredible bread with a rotating menu of flavors but also a full menu of sandwiches for breakfast and lunch. The chef duo sources locally whenever possible, so you can be sure you’re supporting the whole local food system when dining in.

Pahl’s Pumpkin Patch at Pahl’s Country Store is a seasonal staple located in Buckley. Enjoy the traditional fall activities like u-pick pumpkins and hay rides while enjoying classic, delicious cider and donuts.
Many different types of pumpkins and squash are complemented by fresh-pressed cider and donuts every weekend in October at this family farm in Tustin!
Extra stop for excellent eats: The Cadillac Farmers Market hosts local farmers, artisans and food makers every Tuesday and Friday from 9am to 3pm until October 31st. Be sure to stop by for all the tastes of the season!
