Stroll through a Winter Wonderland with Grayling’s Christmas Walk

This holiday season, make plans to shop local in downtown Grayling! The annual Christmas Walk is celebrating its 45th year this November 19th, complete with a light parade, a visit from Santa, and a Christmas Village where you can shop for products from local small businesses.

From noon to 5pm, stroll down Michigan Avenue and Norway Street to visit vendors selling unique holiday gifts. Get rewarded for shopping local with their “Spend 10, Win Big!” raffle applicable at participating locations – for every $10 spent, earn a raffle ticket for a giant basket of goodies full of merchandise, gift certificates, and more! While shopping, be sure to stop at the Huntington Bank for visits with reindeer and pony rides.

Do you know someone who’s been especially good this year? Take them to meet Santa at the AuSable Artisan Village from 1-5pm. Santa will be taking free Christmas pictures before joining the Light Parade at 6pm.

After checking in with the man in the big red suit, pop over to the Christmas Village, which will include small local businesses, fundraising events, and activities for children. Those looking to give back this holiday season are invited to bring a gift for Toys for Tots, with a collection site inside the Christmas Village. Find everything in the Paddle Hard Yard, located in the 100 block of Michigan Avenue.

The highlight of the afternoon is the Light Parade at 6pm, culminating in Santa lighting the Christmas Tree in front of the County Courthouse. Adults are invited to continue their celebrations with events like a Chair Raffle at the AuSable Artisan Village and partake in Grayling’s social district, Brew Avenue.
