2008 Retail Partner Sign-Up
As we are prepare to launch our fifth season, it is clear that Taste the Local Difference has truly established itself as a leader in one of the most exciting new developments in our region: the local foods movement. This is an important and growing effort nationwide, and we hope you’ll join us this year as one of our Retail Partners here in northwest Michigan.
Now for the first time, in our annual print guide to local farm foods, we will include a listing of retail
businesses like yours that source local foods! In response to strong interest from you to be included in our print guide, we have worked to make it happen! To do this, we have refined our parameters for our retail partners to better reflect the efforts many businesses are making to use more local foods.
Please review and complete the retail partner steps below by March 10th to take advantage of this opportunity for your business to appear in our popular Taste the Local Difference guide and on our busy Web site, www.LocalDifference.org. This year, 50,000 copies will go out to hot spots across the region and to visitor centers statewide. And traffic at our Web site is soaring! At over 80,000 distinct site visits last year, we doubled our 2006 total.
There is no fee to participate as a retail partner. But we do rely on your financial support to keep the program going and growing. Please consider making a donation to Taste the Local Difference so that we can continue to not only provide free listings, but also continue producing this valuable local food resource.

To be included in our 2008 print and online listings, we need you to:
- Agree to the terms, as stated in the enclosed Retail Partner Agreement.
- Complete the enclosed Pre-Season Survey.
- Complete the enclosed List Your Business or Retail Confirmation Form.
- Return each of these items to us no later than March 10, 2008.
