The Taste the Local Difference guide lists the many diverse products produced by farms in 10 northwest Michigan counties—from Manistee to Mackinac. The guide promotes your farm and products to families, chefs, retail stores, restaurants, farm markets, food brokers, schools, and food entrepreneurs—anyone who wants to be your customer!

Taste the Local Difference comes in both print and online versions and covers Antrim, Benzie, Charlevoix, Emmet, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska, Leelanau, Manistee, Missaukee, and Wexford counties. To be included in the spring 2008 print booklet, you must complete the attached Farm Listing Form and we must receive your submission no later than February 29, 2008. Please note: A listing of 25 words or less in the "Products" section below is free of charge. If you would like a longer listing, up to a maximum of 50 words, there is a charge or $25 If applicable, you may send us a check. Products: This is an opportunity to more fully describe your products for the print guide and the online guide’s search engine, which allows consumers to look for specific fruits, vegetables, meats, etc. Examples: Pies, milk, trout, tart cherries, sweet corn, basil, maple syrup, lamb. Antique apples including Macoun, Snow, and Spy. U-pick strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries. Beef patties. If you list Specialty products, please specify what local ingredients you use.
Categories: Select all that apply to your locally grown product selection. Control click to select more than one category +Eligible nursery plants are plants you grow from seed, cutting, or plug. ++Specialty products must include food or fiber produced in the 10-county Taste the Local Difference region. Examples include cheese, maple syrup, jams, wool, hand cream, evergreen wreaths.
Special instructions: Add any special instructions here. Example: Call to arrange orders on fresh lamb, usually late summer to early autumn. We also sell certified organic apples from another nearby farm. (There is a 25 word limit in this section)

Availability: Please indicate where and how your products are available. Include retail stores, restaurants or institutions if you already sell to these outlets or are seriously interested in being contacted for such sales. Hours: If applicable, give times and dates you are open for customers. Examples: Farm stand: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. daily June through Labor Day; 9 a.m. - noon after Labor Day to Thanksgiving. Or: U-pick: Call ahead for availability. Season is usually August to mid-October.
Directions: If applicable, provide customers with direction to your farm or farm stand. Please include clear, specific directions from the nearest familiar main road.
